What we collect

When you create a Numi book we collect: the child's first name, pronouns, age, optional last name and dedication, and (only if you opt in) the child's birth date for the Cosmic Appendix. We also collect your email address so we can deliver the book.

If you choose the photo option (coming soon) we collect a single photo of the child. We treat that photo as sensitive children's data and apply the protections below.

What we never do

• We do not train AI models on uploaded child photos.
• We do not sell or share child data with advertisers.
• We do not use a child's photo for facial recognition outside the single book it was uploaded for.
• We do not send marketing email to children — only to the verified adult account holder.

Retention

• Photos: deleted 30 days after the book ships, or sooner on request.
• Shipping address: deleted 90 days after delivery.
• PDF: kept indefinitely so you can re-download it. You can delete it any time.
• Consent records: kept indefinitely (required for legal compliance) — but contain no photo.

Your controls

You can delete all child data tied to your account at any time from your account page (coming with v1 launch). For now, email privacy@numibook.com and we will delete it within 72 hours.

Processors

We use the following companies to deliver the service. Each is bound by a Data Processing Agreement and cannot use your data for any other purpose:

• Supabase (database, EU/US)
• Cloudflare R2 (image + PDF storage)
• kie.ai (illustration generation)
• Stripe (payments)
• Peecho (hardcover printing + shipping)
• Google Gemini (story text)
